TENNIS: Should ROGER FEDERER RETIRE NOW?

The US Open started on the 26th of August and will end on the 9th of September. Although I didn't expect him to leave so early, I can't say it was a shocker that Roger Federer fell out of the US Open on Monday(I mean, I didn't see him getting to the finals). The only shocker here  is that yesterday was the first time in ten years the Swiss player was being knocked out of the US Open before the quarter finals. His opponent, Tommy Robredo demolished a very-low-confident  Federer 7-6(3) 6-3 6-4 at Flushing Meadows. If he (Federer) had won, he would have met Rafael Nadal for the QF round and we know what could have happened right?

"I kind of feel like I beat myself, without taking any credit away from Tommy," an unhappy Federer said. Do you think Federer should retire now? I say: win a title(no matter how small the title) and announce your retirement whilst the ovation is loud and there's still some respect. It is sad to see such a talented and successful  player fallen to this level and giving too many defeat speeches.

See the schedule for the US Open Quarter Finals below:
