ForbesAfrica Collaborates with Channel O to present: 10 MOST BANKABLE AFRICAN ARTISTES!!!

on the 1st of September 2013, Channel O's collaboration with Forbes Africa : Forbes #Top10Most Bankable African Artistes was premiered on the music channel.
The list was put together using factors such as endorsement value, popularity, show rates, Sales, awards, YouTube views, appearance in newspapers, investment, social media presense, Influence to mention a few. My understanding of the word "bankable" is: Persons or Artistes who can rake in money, their face and trade sells.

1.AKON (Senegal/USA)

 CEO of Konvict Music, opened doors and worked with other African artistes like Psquare, Wizikd etc. has global presence and top artistes in his record  label.


2. DON JAZZY (Nigeria)
CEO of Mavin Records, Influential  and award winning producer/artiste, MTN, Samsung and Loyal Milk endorsement deals. D’Banj, Kanye West, Beyonce, Jay Z  and many more on production credits.

3. P SQUARE (Nigeria)

5. WIZKID (Nigeria)
EME artiste, Starboy CEO, affiliation with Disturbing London, several international collaborations, highest paid Pepsi ambassador in Africa, MTN ambassador, huge social media following, recipient of multiple awards.



6. 2FACE IDIBIA (Nigeria)   

Top musical artiste with international presence and collaborations, first winner of the MTV awards' "Best African Act" category, BET award recipient and other prestigious awards, 10million disc and at least 7million digital sale, multiple ambassador, ONE Campaign ambassador, associated with Guinness, Haven Homes, Airtel Worldwide and owner of Hypertek record label, philanthropist – 2face foundation

  1. But why is Akon on the list? We know he is African but he is a US singer through and through.. Forbes look well. He is not supposed to be here
