All You Need To Know: iPhone 6 and Apple Watch Simplified in Pictures

  
Yesterday was a great day for technology and iPhone aficionados, all the tech jargon you can think of were flying around.  

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.  Chief executive, Tim Cook talked the crowd through the new products, saying he was launching "the biggest advancement in the history of iPhone".  Err, What did you expect him to say though?

Now, if you are like some of us, who don't really care about all that long boring talk and just want to know what the iPhone 6 , its siblings iPhone 6 Plus and the Apple Watch is all about, this post is for you. 

You know how they say a picture tells more than a thousand words? Let's get you started then. 

Just incase you were eyeing Samsung Galaxy, HTC, Sony Xperia Z3 etc for their sizes, the iPhone got bigger! 

4.7 inches for the iPhone 6 and 5.5 inches for the iPhone 6 Plus screens.  That compares with the four-inch screen of the iPhone 5S.

Wondering how big? Yeah, that's how big! If big is your thing...

Know how slim the iPhone 5S is? These phones are slimmer! They may be the slimmest smartphones in the market just yet although early reviews say they are slightly heavier than the super light 5S.

The iPhone 6 screen resolution will be 1,334x750 pixels, which Apple describes as Retina HD; the iPhone 6 Plus will feature a full HD resolution of 1,920x1,080 pixels

SPEED: It will be the fastest iPhone yet 

In the US, on a  2-year contract, the iPhone 6 starts at $199 for the 16GB model, then it's $299 for 64GB and $399 for 128GB of internal storage. 

While in the UK, you're looking at £539 for the 16GB iPhone 6 and £619 for 64GB, while the 128GB version is a wallet shaking £699 SIM-free. Now do the maths for Nigeria and other countries.. SIM-free of course. 

The Apple Watch (Why not iWatch?)  "The device aims to change the way we communicate by sending and receiving messages, answering calls made to your iPhone, and sharing  personalized health information, and according to Chief Executive Cook, it is "the most personal product we've ever made.”  Prices start at $349, and the models will be available to buy from early 2015

The iPhone 6 has improved camera specs, with an eight megapixel sensor, a new focusing system and slow-motion video at 240 frames per second. The iPhone 6 Plus also has optical image stabilization.

The iPhone 6 will run on iOS 8  which will also be compatible with old versions(from iPhone 4S-5S) and other new generation Apple products. the iOS8 will be downloadable from the 17th of September  

Apple also announced it will be introducing a payment system, Apple Pay that will work in 220,000 locations around the world including, Apple Stores (but of course!). "Cashiers don't see your name, your card number or your security code," According to Forbes.

According to reports, people are already queuing in some countries and even going as far as paying people to stand in line for them for the phone which  may be released September 19th. Now, to the big question: will you be buying?
