SCARY TREND: SUICIDE

What's up with the world? Is there a new allure for suicide? This is just so sad and scary at the same time. Last week,(14th Aug.) former contestant on the 14th season of reality dating show The Bachelor; Gia Allemand committed suicide. The 29 year old was found in her home by her boyfriend (NBA player, Ryan Anderson) who called 911 and Gia was transported to a hospital. She was later removed from life support as she had lost brain and organ function.

 Just yesterday (Monday 19th), former Disney star, Lee Thompson Young (29yrs old) was found dead by his Los Angeles landlord after his co-workers on the set of TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles" called the landlord when Young failed to show up for work.

The actor's long time manager Jonathan Baruch confirmed to E! News that Young took his own life. "It is with great sadness that I announce that Lee Thompson Young tragically took his own life this morning," Baruch said in a statement to E! 

 These two cases are just a few amongst the multitude of suicides happening around us. and there are so many that haven't been reported. The question is: what is causing these suicides? are people this sad? a handsome young man with a good job just ups and commits suicide?
I watched a very emotional Ali Fedotowsky (former Bachelor and Bachelorette star) talk about being with a happy Gia a week before she committed suicide. She said there was no indication that she was going through pain strong enough to kill herself, she seemed happy with her boyfriend also.

Please do your best to make the people around you happy, don't be the reason someone  gets depressed. Let us be our brothers/sisters' keepers and watch out for signs. Be open to people when they need to talk to you and if you are entertaining suicidal thoughts, please squash it. suicide should never be an option, talk to someone and pray to God for help.
